Job Description
The Zero Harm Secretarial role is designed to assist course instructors and Hospital Administration's efforts for the Zero Harm Initiative.
Job Essentials:
Pre-Class approximately (1.5 Hours)
- Reminder email to all employee participants
- Instructors email - confirmation, co-instructor information and class roster
- Put together all materials needed for class
- Organize bags
- Insert all the papers into booklets
- Notecards and post-it notes, pens
- Print off and prepare surveys
- Catering scheduling or follow-up
- Access and create class sign-in roster
Class (2 Hours)
- Classroom set-up
- Catering Pick-up if needed
- Instructor support
- Check-in class attendees
Post Class (1 Hour)
- Bag Check-in
- Update class roster in computer system to include no-shows
- Enter postsurvey information into spreadsheet - (These are currently given to Carole to input).
Total 4.5 Hours per class. We have 8-9 classes scheduled per week through the end of August.
Entry Rate: $11.70/hr plus Experience
Shift Details: This is a temporary position at 20 hours per week through August 29, 2014. The hospital has 8 to 9 classes scheduled per week through August 29th. The individual will be assigned half of those classes each week to support and that individuals hours will correspond with the dates and times of those courses each week through the end of August and assignment completion.

Minimum Requirements
- One or more years of office/clerical/secretarial work experience
- Previous computer experience using Microsoft Word or similar word processing application
- Previous work experience answering phones in an office setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare/medical office experience
